1. The Call and Consultation

First comes a phone call, Skype, or Google Hangout consultation to review the services you need. It is all about getting to know each other so I can make sure we are a good fit and that this project will be equally as awesome for both of us. Speaking of, you should know we are a digital firm. In order to keep our price points lower and for the best use of time we do not do in person. Are you scared of Skype? We are happy to teach you!

2. Yay! Welcome to the family!

If the chemistry is there, let’s get you booked. You will receive a formal proposal for your review that you will then sign electronically through EchoSign. You will also receive your first invoice through PayPal for your deposit which ensures your spot in the Socially Savvy Studio project schedule. *please note deposits are nonrefundable because other projects and opportunities are turned away in order to reserve your spot in the production schedule.

3. Hosting

For web design, hosting and domain must be purchased and setup ahead of time with a WordPress install. To keep things running really smoothly, we work locally with Andrew from Walden Pond Design for hosting. Andrew quite simply is the best when it comes to hosting. He is just an email or phone call away and has saved many clients sites from some horrible hacking disasters on other hosts. His customer service is above and beyond, it really pays to support local because you will never get the kind of service Andrew offers with any other host.

4. For E-commerce Sites

You must ensure prior to working together that your existing point of sales system and accounting software work with the e-commerce platform that we help you choose, (WooCommerce, Shopify or Square Up). It is your responsibility to communicate and troubleshoot with them should issues arise. We do not support third party applications including point of sales systems, accounting software or third party plugins. We will happily make recommendations and guide you on the best choice for your business.

5. Getting all your ducks in a row

It is time to get started. For web design and marketing materials all content and photography are due before development or design begins. We will set you up in our project management system Basecamp and photography can also be shared through DropBox. If there are any delays in receiving outstanding items for your project, please be aware that your deadline date may get moved.

6. Launch!

We get right to it and depending on the scope of your project. You are looking at 1-2 weeks for branding and graphic design, and 4-6 weeks for web design. Social media management and blogging begin right away on the 1st or 15th of the month. You will receive a detailed timeline of the project and we will get started as soon as your deposit and signed contract are received. Final payment and a web release form are due before launch or any design materials are handed over. Then you’re ready to rock and roll! Go show off your new site or branding materials!
